Charles O'Hagan worked on the Allegheny Portage Railroad. 

He was born in Ireland and emigrated to America in 1841. Charles briefly settled in Philadelphia before moving west to settle near Inclined Plane No. 5. He worked on the Allegheny Portage Railroad for several years. He then moved to Gallitzin in 1856. 

Charles married Susan Murray and they had five children: Margaret, Susan Alice, Bernard, Catharine Ann and Sarah Jane.
