Jesse Sherman Bracey was born in Eagleville, Tennessee on October 22, 1950. He served as a Private First Class (PFC) in Vietnam. He never married. While driving in his hometown he was involved in an automobile accident that fractured his neck. He was rushed to the Rutherford County hospital where he was declared dead on arrival on June 29, 1972.

Jesse Bracey is buried in the Stones River National Cemetery in plot S-7007.
