Freida B. Nelson, woman ranger. 1926. Nelson was a ranger at Yellowstone National Park. This is probably the most famous image of Nelson, one in which she shows off the braces (suspenders) holding up her breeches. Her breeches show that even though her uniform is styled after the men's, it is cut on the woman's pattern. NPSHPC - HFC/WASO #70-53-1	Frances Pound. Permanent Ranger at North Entrance.
