Ranger Herford in Mammoth Hot Springs, 1926.
Herford was a ranger at Yellowstone National Park. At this time,
rangers on motorcycle patrol usually wore anything comfortable
while on duty. Notice the sheep-skin chaps to protect his legs
from the brush when riding cross-country.
