Although Mr. Vinten quite possibly managed certain aspects of the coordination work, the official designation of a Southeastern Monuments (coordinating superintendent) occurred sometime after the temporary assignment of Herbert E. Kahler on 10/31/1934 after transfer of Ft. Marion (Castillo de San Marcos) from the War Department. The designation was cancelled with the reassignment of Vinten to a Park Planner Position in the Southeast Regional Office. Included Castillo de San Marcos, Ft. Matanzas, Ft. Pulaski, Ft. Jefferson until 10/07/1957, Ft. Caroline, De Soto NM, and Ft. Frederica. Most of the areas were later coordinated by the Everglades NP management group.
