Acadia National Parks carriage and motor roads were documented in 1994-95 by the Historic American Engineering Record (HAER), a division of the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior. The project was sponsored by the NPS Park Roads and Parkways Program and Acadia National Park. Funding was provided through the Federal Lands Highway Program, U.S. Department of Transportation.
