![]() Survey of Historic Sites and Buildings D. Historic Districts Eligible for the Registry of National Historic Landmarks In some instances, groups of historic buildings located in proximity, when considered collectively, provide outstanding illustrations of a past era. These groups are designated Historic Districts and declared eligible for the Registry of National Historic Landmarks. Such districts sometimes include individual structures that are eligible on their own merits for Landmark designation.
