E. Other Sites Considered
In the process of selecting the comparatively few historic sites of such outstanding character as to merit recognition as Registered National Historic Landmarks, a great many sites were studied, evaluated, and found not to meet the criteria. The sites described below are deemed to possess noteworthy historical values but not to possess "exceptional value" within the meaning of the criteria, within the segment of history discussed here. Such sites may satisfy the criteria as applied to other phases of history, however.
