HOW TO USE THE COLOR KEY

The Color Key is designed to assist in the identification of an unknown plant. The following page of drawings illustrate the determining characters used in the key.

Directions for using the key are as follows:

1. Determine flower color (for example, white).

2. Consider A.; if plant fits A, proceed to B; if not go to AA.

3. If plant fits B, proceed to a; if not, proceed to BB; and so forth until you reach the species description which fits the plant.
