NPS Photo October 6, 1780 After crossing the Green River at Alexander’s Ford the Overmountain Men took the road that passed through the land currently occupied by the vineyard. From here they continued their journey to the Cowpens and beyond. There is a certified section of the trail available to walk on the grounds of the vineyard. If you are interested in visiting and walking the trail, it is suggested you call ahead to verify that it is currently open. Alternately the trail may be open to hike by special appointment. Restrooms and tables are available at the tasting room. The vineyard is open Wednesday, Thursday 12-6, Friday, Saturday 12-7, Sunday 12-6. |
