What We Do

The Partnership Office helps the Service and its partners create, enhance, and recognize effective partnerships through facilitation, training, collaboration, communication and policy leadership. The Partnership Office provides:

  • Assistance to parks, regional offices and program areas by facilitating the infrastructure investment in parks by partners (partnership construction process)
  • Support and training on donation and fundraising policies
  • Review of potential donations
  • External coordination between the agency and key governmental and nongovernmental organizations, including the National Park Foundation, national consortiums of park support groups and community based organizations
  • Coordination of national marketing campaigns
The Partnership Office cooperates with other federal land management agencies to foster conservation and stewardship and helps to build capacity through training programs for all levels of the National Park Service and its partners.
