The Wilderness Stewardship Division (WSD) collaborates with many NPS, interagency, and non-government partners to effectively steward NPS wilderness.
- Regional Wilderness Coordinators: Coordinators in the Alaska, Pacific West, Intermountain, Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast Regions assist wilderness parks and liaison with the WSD.
- National Wilderness Leadership Council: Comprised of interdisciplinary staff from parks, regions, and programs across the country, the Council advises NPS senior leadership on national issues and initiatives that pertain to wilderness.
- Arthur Carhart National Wilderness Training Center: This interagency center provides online and field-based wilderness trainings for staff.
- Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute: This interagency institute offers science and research-related technical assistance for wilderness parks and programs.
