Successful projects are developed by solid partnerships. In this case, applications are submitted by the NPS staff in collaboration with project partners, and -- if selected -- funds are provided directly to the project partner for project implementation.
Project partners may be educational institutions, non-profit organizations and tribes. Municipalities or other governmental entities are also eligible as project partners, but a primary non-governmental co-applicant is encouraged.
For each selected project, a fiduciary partner of the National Park Service will enter into an agreement with, and provide project funds directly to, the local partner.
