Parks & Cultural Landscapes

The recommended role of parks is to implement the application of laws, regulations, management policies, director's orders, handbooks, and standards. Parks are at the forefront of preservation of cultural landscapes in their efforts to:

  • Protect and maintain park resources;
  • Undertake planning for long-term resource management;
  • Seek funding and partnerships to support research and stewardship activities;and
  • Offer interpretation of cultural landscapes to visitors.
