To comply with Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the Northeast Archeological Resources Program maintains archeological site records for Interior - Region 1 parks with the Cultural Resources Inventory System (CRIS). This database is a tool for improving archeological resource preservation, protection, planning, interpretation, and decision-making by parks, support offices, regional offices, and the national program offices. |
