WSDOT Temporarily Closes Hoh Bridge to All TrafficIn September and October of 2026, the Washington State Department of Transportation will need to close the Hoh River Bridge on Highway 101 to all traffic for the following dates:Overnight Monday, Sept. 14 to Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, each night from 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Multi-day closures:
There is no alternative route or detour across the Hoh River.
WSDOT Where is the closure, and will it affect my trip?The closure is located on Highway 101, south of Forks and the Hoh Rainforest area (see graphic). During scheduled closures, you will not be able drive from any point north of the bridge to any point south of the closure via Highway 101. Taking alternate routes around the east side of the Olympic Peninsula add at least four hours to travel times. North of the closure:
