Fourteen-Hundred People Make A Difference!

Recently tallied statistics from Olympic's volunteer program spotlight the contributions made by park volunteers.

During fiscal year 2006 (October 1, 2005 - September 30, 2006), 1,427 people volunteered their time and energy to serve Olympic National Park and its visitors. Over 71,000 hours (equal to the hours worked by 34 full-time positions) were contributed, in nearly all aspects of park work.

From the families who spend a day collecting trash during the annual beach clean-up to the long-term volunteers who staff visitor center desks each week year after year, Olympic National Park's employees and visitors appreciate your dedication!
