NPS photo Olympic National Park staffs three type VI wildland engines with 2-3 firefighters each. The park also staffs a 10 person hazard fuels reduction crew when funding is available. During fire season, Olympic National Park works closely with the US Forest Service and Washington Department of Natural Resources who also hire firefighters on the Olympic Penninsula.
