Prescribed Fire at Agate Fossil Beds The first prescribed fire was conducted on April 22, 2008. The park has been divided into 4 burn units. Recent prescribed fires:
Fire Effects Monitoring Results The fire effects monitoring crew has begun to install monitoring plots at Agate Fossil Beds. It will take 1 to 2 growing seasons after the initiation of prescribed fire to have results from the monitoring program.
