Parkway Trails Closed Due to Construction on Highway 840

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TN: The Natchez Trace Parkway National Scenic Trail and horse trail section between Burns Branch at milepost 425.4 and Tennessee Valley Divide at milepost 423.9 will be closed to all trail users on March 12, 2012. The closure is due to construction on Highway 840. Trail sections north of Burns Branch and south of the Tennessee Valley Divide will remain open. Both trails will be posted closed for public notice. The closure is necessary to ensure safety in the use of the trail. The trail is expected to reopen in late April, 2012, or when construction is completed. The Parkway will work to reopen the area as soon as possible. The closure will begin Monday, March 12, 2012, at 5:00 pm.

The visitor center is open 7 days a week during normal business hours. The visitor center is closed Thanksgiving, December 25th and January 1st.
