NPS April 8, 2025: The National Park Service is imposing a temporary closure of the center turf panel in Lincoln Park, one of the Capitol Hill Parks. This area will be closed to the public beginning at 12:00 a.m. April 21, 2025, and continuing until July 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Violation is prohibited. A map illustrating the closed park area is attached. This temporary closure is necessary to protect the park’s natural and cultural resources during a comprehensive turf restoration which will improve the visitor experience. Persons using these park areas should remove themselves and any property from the closed areas by 11:59 p.m. on April 20, 2025. The National Park Service appreciates the public’s cooperation in this matter. |
