Notice to the Public: Extending Temporary Public Use Limit Prohibiting Vehicular Access to the Greenbelt Park South Parking Lot

December 22, 2025: The National Park Service is extending a temporary public use limit in the south parking lot of Greenbelt Park. This area will be closed to vehicle access until March 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. The area will remain available to pedestrians.

Violation is prohibited. A map illustrating the affected park area is attached.

This temporary public use limitation is necessary to protect the safety of pedestrians on the trail in that area while the bollard that prevents vehicles from driving down the trail is repaired.

The National Park Service appreciates the public’s cooperation in this matter.
