Notice to the Public of a Temporary Closure of the Fort Washington Womens Restroom

July 10, 2026: The Women’s Restroom near the Main Parking Lot in Fort Washington Park will be temporarily closed until 11:59 pm on July 20, 2026.

Violation is prohibited.

This closure is necessary to protect public health and safety and to implement the management responsibility of maintaining this restroom. The women’s restroom has plumbing issues that prohibit the proper function of human waste disposal, creating a public health hazard for any visitor who would use the restroom.

The National Park Service appreciates the public’s cooperation in this matter.
