Growing 2 to 5 feet, yellow sweetclover is a native European plant with fragrant yellow blossoms. Yellow sweetclover blooms throughout the summer.
Often called creeping Jenny, this European native is one of the most widespread weeds in South Dakota. Field bindweed blooms May through September.
Western salsify or goatsbeard was introduced from Eurasia and develops a large "puffball" of seeds, which looks like a giant dandelion. Western Salsify blooms May through August.
