Battle Road and Patriot's Day Participant Information

Minute Men firing from North Bridge
Patriot's Day Weekend, 2019 will be held on Saturday, April 13 [Battle Road], Sunday, April 14 [Barrett Farm], and Monday, April 15 [Patriot's Day/Lexington Green/North Bridge Fight]. Additional commemorative events will take place on Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19.

Pre-registration (invitation only) is required for all reenactment units and participants. Registration materials will be sent directly to unit commanders. However, all registered participants are responsible for complying with event safety and authenticity standards. See the links below for more information.

Saturday, April 13th - Battle Road (Participant Schedule)
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Crown Forces (and Crosby's Company) registration open at Paul Revere Capture Site - Militia registration open at Fiske Hill parking area - Battle Road Guide registration open at Minute Man Visitor Center Please note: Registration closes at 12:00 p.m. so please arrive before that time.

12:00 p.m. Civilian Evacuees leave Smith House.

12:15 p.m. British arms inspection and ammunition distribution at Paul Revere Capture Site.
Colonial arms inspection and ammunition distribution at Fiske Hill parking area

12:45 p.m. British begin march from Paul Revere Capture Site to Parker’s Revenge. Colonials deploy for action. Civilian Evacuees process along the viewing areas near Parker's Revenge

1:00 p.m. Troops engage at area of Parker’s Revenge and the scenario begins

2:00 p.m. Scenario ends. All units clear weapons and collect remaining ammunition at Trainor Field and board buses to Tower Park.

4:00 p.m. Tower Park battle scenario commences

5:00 p.m. Tower Park event ends.

5:30 p.m. Participant party at McHugh Barn (behind Hartwell Tavern)

Lexington Minute Men - Parker’s Revenge Ceremony 9:30 a.m. Lexington Militia rally on Lexington Green and begin march to Minute Man NHP. All colonial units are welcome to participate. The unit will register when they arrive at Minute Man Visitor Center at 11:30 a.m. Please contact David Kemper if you are interested.

12:00 p.m. Lexington fires a ceremonial volley at the Parker’s Revenge site

Sunday, April 14 - The Search of Barrett Farm
1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Colonel James Barrett House open

2:30 p.m. British gather at North Bridge Visitor Center and begin march to Barrett Farm

3:00 p.m. British soldiers conduct a search of the Barrett House NB - The Jason Russell House battle reenactment will also take place on Sunday, April 14 Contact Marc Colosimo at

Monday April 15 - North Bridge Fight
8:15 - 8:30 a.m. Crown Forces arrive at Monument Street parking area, inspection and ammunition distribution

8:15 - 8:55 a.m. Provincial Forces gather outside the North Bridge Visitor Center for check-in, inspection and ammunition distribution (Acton marches in at 8:55). Anyone not present by 8:55 may not participate.

8:45 a.m. Crown Forces march to North Bridge and occupy the area.

9:00 a.m. Provincial Forces step off and advance upon North Bridge and the scenario begins.

9:15 a.m. Crown and Provincial Forces will re-assemble on the Bridge for a combined volley. Scenario Ends.

Event Parking Information and Directions for Participants

April 13th
  • • Crown Forces will park at the Paul Revere Capture Site.
  • Militia will park at Minute Man Regional High School (across from Minute Man Visitor Center)
  • Battle Road Guides will park at the end of Airport Road
  • Civilian Evacuees leaving from Smith House park at Hartwell Tavern parking area.

April 15th
For Provincial forces not marching in with the Acton Minute Men, please park in the field next to the Maj. John Buttrick House - Yellow Colonial house across Liberty St. from North Bridge Visitor Center parking area, 174 Liberty St. Concord MA.

NB - Concord Roads close at 8:30 a.m. so, unless your marching in with Acton, make sure to arrive before that time. Please park across the street from North Bridge Visitor Center in the field next to the Maj. John Buttrick House. Space is limited. Carpooling is encouraged.

From I-95: Take exit 30B. You will be on Route 2A west. The visitor center is 1/2 mile west off ramp on the right. Parking is on the opposite side of the road at Minuteman Regional High School. 758 Marrett Rd. Lexington MA 02421

From MassPike: Take I-95 Exit (exit 14) and follow above directions.

From Route 2: Follow Route 2 to I-95 North. Proceed north one exit to 30B. Follow directions above. Paul Revere Capture site: Follow directions above. Paul Revere Capture Site is on Rt 2A, less than half a mile west from Minute Man Visitor Center.

Hartwell Tavern: 101 North Great Road, Lincoln MA 01773
From I-95: Take exit 30B. You will be on Route 2A west. Hartwell Tavern parking area is 1.5-miles west off ramp on the right (you will pass by the entrance to Hanscom Dr. and Air Terminal on the right).

North Bridge Visitor Center: 174 Liberty St. Concord MA 01742
Follow directions for Minute Man Visitor Center. Continue on Rt 2A. for approx. 2.5 miles. Bear right onto Lexington Road. Continue for approx. 3 miles to Concord Center. In Concord Center, take a right onto Monu-ment St. Continue for approx. 1/2 mile. Cross the River and take a left on Liberty St. The North Bridge Visitor Center is at the top of the hill on your left.
