Volunteers are a core part of what makes the National Park Service successful. Also, volunteering is fun! Active volunteer opportunities are listed below, but please reach out to the park directly if interested. Volunteers generally assist in visitor services by providing tours, tending the garden at Myrlie's Garden, helping with community outreach and education programs, assisting with general maintenance, and archival research. Opportunities also exist for interns, alternative spring break groups, scout groups, and civic associations for smaller projects.
