César E. Chávez National Monument [also known as known as Nuestra Señora Reina de la Paz (La Paz)] was established through Presidential Proclamation under the 1906 Antiquities Act and was designated a National Historic Landmark by the Secretary of the Interior on October 8, 2012. Located in Keene, California, the property is recognized for its historic significance to César Estrada Chávez and the farm worker movement.
