Video

Access: Eagle Lake Carriage Road

Acadia National Park

Transcript

The video shows an asphalt parking lot on the north side of Maine State Route 233, across from Eagle Lake. It is a winter scene with small rocks strewn about the parking lot and snow piles surrounding the edges, providing evidence of plowing activity. There are two accessible parking spaces in front of the restrooms designated by very faint paint on the ground and a sign on a post in between the two spaces. The text on the sign reads Reserved Parking, Authorized Vehicles Only and below the text is a black P inside of a green circle. The asphalt transitions to compact gravel as the path leads to a trash receptacle and the vault toilets. Continuing past the restrooms and towards the carriage roads, there is a three sided kiosk and a wayside on the right.
