Requiem for a Glacier - Binaural (headphones) version
Transcript
A deep, resonant bell or gong. Suddenly a wall of vocal harmony. Presently, a higher bell tone taps out a slow, simple melody, almost like a child's xylophone. The vocal harmony's continue beneath the chiming bell, gradually adding new lines to become incrementally higher in pitch. The bell melody repeats, each version slightly shorter than the last. The vocal line shifts even higher as new voices join and lower voices become silent. The soft deep gong from the beginning can just be heard beneath the high voices' harmony. The voices begin to fade out while still climbing higher. The bell's melody has dwindled to just a few notes, then one, then none. The voices fade to silence.
