Hello, my name is Peter Kasin, a park ranger at San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, bringing you this week's sheltered-in chantey. This one, used at the capstan and at the pumps, is called So Early in the Morning, sometimes known as The Sailor Loves His Bottle-O. This chantey that was sung at the capstan, at the pumps, and at the halyard. The chantey begins with the chorus.
