Hi, my name is Emily. I am the lead education Ranger here at Death Valley National Park. What I love about my job is I get to meet people from all over the world, including right in our own backyard. And my pathway to the NPS is actually through the Girl Scouts. I was very involved in the outdoors as a young person doing Girl Scouts, and actually worked at a Girl Scout camp doing programming.

And my advice for anybody that's interested in becoming an NPS Park Ranger is to follow what you're passionate about. There are park Rangers that do all sorts of positions, and whatever you're into there is a Park Ranger position for you.
