**The Mary McLeod Bethune Council House NHS is currently closed to the public and no guided tours are available.**

Rangers guide interpretive tours of the house on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at the times listed below.

Space is limited to twenty-five people on each tour.

  • 4:00 pm


  • The site is not handicap accessible. The second and third floors of the home can only be reached by climbing the stairs.
  • Visitors cannot join a tour after it has begun.
  • Strollers and large bags are not allowed in the historic house.
  • Eating, drinking, chewing gum, and smoking are not allowed in the historic house.
