Directions

The Lower East Side Tenement Museum can be reached by public transportation, or by car. It is recommended that visitors travel by public transportation, but if you are traveling by a private vehicle please include ample time to find parking in your travel plan.

The visitor center and museum shop, where all guided tours start and end, is located at 103 Orchard Street, New York NY, 10002

Subway
Take the lines to Grand Street
Exit at Grand and Chrystie. Walk east (away from Bowery) on Grand Street for four blocks. Take a left at Orchard Street and walk north for two blocks to the Museum Shop 103 Orchard Street.

Take the line to Delancey Street
Once you exit the subway, walk two blocks away from the Williamsburg Bridge (west) on Delancey Street to Orchard Street, turn left, and walk 1/2 block south to the Museum Shop 103 Orchard Street.

Take the lines to Essex Street
Once you exit the subway, walk two blocks away from the Williamsburg Bridge (west) on Delancey Street to Orchard Street, turn left, and walk 1/2 block south to the Museum Shop 103 Orchard Street

Bus
The M15 and Sightseeing buses stop at the corner of Grand and Allen Streets. Exit the bus and walk one block east to Orchard Street. Then walk one 1/2 block north toward Delancey Street to the Museum Shop 103 Orchard Street.
