As part of National Park Week and National Junior Ranger Day, special programs will be offered on Saturday, April 19 at Historic Jamestowne. Younger visitors will have the opportunity to join the National Park Service Family as Junior Rangers participating in a series of free games and activities during their park visit and receive a special National Junior Ranger patch. Family-friendly activities for all ages will be presented between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on April 19. Students from Jamestown High School's Rho Kappa Honor Society will be presenting the programs. All programs and park admission are free on April 19, 2014. * 9:30 a.m.. Bird Walk on the Island Drive - Join local Master Naturalist and Wildlife Mapper for a one hour walk on Jamestown's Island Drive (loop drive will be closed to vehicle traffic). Look for local wildlife residents as well as migratory birds. Bird list will be provided. Please bring binoculars, water and bug spray. |
