2012 Artist-in-Residence Dan McGrath
Dan McGrath is second career artist who enjoys the outdoors, hiking and canoeing, and Plein Aire painting. Twentieth Century British and American landscape painters have been influences, especially David Sawyer, Marc Hanson, Michael Alexander, Edward Seago, and Scott Christensen. He has studied with Mary Neely, Larry Wheeler, Booth Malone, Bill Fletcher, Jay Moore, and Yvonne Todd. He is the founder of the Plein Aire Painters of the Bluegrass and a member of the Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society. He has a studio in Artist's Attic, corner of Main and Broadway in downtown Lexington, Kentucky.
