Sonoran Desert Toad
This Sonoran Desert Toad (Bufo alvarius) was spotted resting up against the border fence. We wondered if it had a passport.
Great Plains Toad
This Great Plains toad is living proof that there are amphibians in the desert.
The Red-spotted Toad is one of four species of toads in the park. They can often be found during the summer monsoon season.
The Couch's Spadefoot is more often heard than seen. In fact, if you walk along some of the washes after a good rain you will often be accompanied by a chorus of spadefoots.
