We are having two events left for this summer here at the park and one event hosted at Auburn University in Auburn, AL:
August 8, 2015 Summer Symposium (10am CST) This year's symposium will take place at the Jules Collins Museum of Fine Art in Auburn, Alabama. The theme is An End and a Beginning: Wars, Treaties and a Changing Nation.
August 15, 2015 Walk the Bend –Habitat Birdwalk (7am CST) Participates can learn about some of the birds that call Horseshoe Bend home. The first hour is an intermediate walk and the second is geared towards education.
August 22, 2015 Muster on the Tallapoosa (9am - 4pm CST) Commemorating the establishment of Horseshoe Bend National Military Park, there will be living history events that show what life was like during the early 1800's for both American Indians and the earliest American settlers in American India territory.
All of these events are free and open to the public!
