The Great Egg Harbor River is the name of an entire river system in southern New Jersey. More than 100 miles of the river and select tributaries were designated in 1992 and incorporated into the National Wild and Scenic River System. You can make the most of your trip to Great Egg Harbor National Wild and Scenic River by checking out the contents of this website and related partner websites.

The National Park Service manages the designated river in partnership with the State of New Jersey, four counties in the state and 12 municipalities. These areas are open all year, but have different schedules of operation. Check with specific municipalities for more information.
