Sweetgum Picnic Area

Open year-round, the Sweetgum Picnic Area is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Use is limited to groups of 25 people and 4 picnic tables. Larger groups must reserve a space at the Laurel or Holly Picnic Areas.

To access the Sweetgum Picnic Area, enter the park from Greenbelt Road, turn right at the T intersection, and take the first left.

Amenities include picnic tables, restrooms, a playground, a baseball field with a backstop, and a large open field.

Holly Picnic Area

Holly Picnic Area

The Holly Picnic Area is located near the park entrance. After entering from Greenbelt Road, turn left at the stop sign—the picnic area will be on your right in 0.1 miles.

Available by reservation only, the area accommodates up to 200 people and includes picnic tables, restrooms, and parking. Reservation fees vary by group size. Please note: there are no covered pavilions.

Laurel Picnic Area

The Laurel Picnic Area is available by reservation only. It is located along the park loop road—after entering the park from Greenbelt Road, turn left at the stop sign. The Laurel Picnic Area will be on your right in 0.5 miles, just past the Holly Picnic Area.

The area can accommodate up to 200 people and includes picnic tables, restrooms, and parking. Reservation fees vary based on group size.
