Museum and Visitor Center

Our team of volunteers assist park staff operate the information desk and museum galleries. The main function of this program is to ensure our visitors get answers to their questions and have the best experience possible. Volunteers hand out park maps, inform visitors about the times of various programs and special events in the park, what they can see and do in the building, as well as answer any questions they have about how to visit their national parks.

Please visit our Current Volunteer Opportunities page to see how you can get involved.

Gettysburg National Cemetery

Volunteers assist our visitors navigate the final resting place for over 6,000 soldiers who served our nation from the Civil War through Vietnam. Volunteers answer questions about the cemetery and ensure that the property remains a place of quiet reflection for those that choose to visit.

Please visit our Current Volunteer Opportunities page to see how you can get involved.

West End Guide Station

Volunteers are stationed at the West End Guide Station from the spring through fall to help our visitors begin their visit. They provide park maps, junior ranger books, directions, and answer questions about how to visit the park.

Please visit our Current Volunteer Opportunities page to see how you can get involved.
