There will be two walks at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge this weekend.

On Saturday, September 13 at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., wear waterproof footwear and join a coastal biologist for an exploration of the restoration of Big Egg Marsh. Meet at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge visitor center to carpool. Bring binoculars, sun/insect protection, and drinking water.

The moon will be almost full on Sunday, September 14 and you can stroll the West Pond Trail of Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a park ranger. Discover the refuge after-hours.

The programs are free, but advance registration is requested. Call the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge at 718-318-4340 for more information.
