Park Significance

Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site, located in suburban Danville, California, was established as a memorial to Eugene O'Neill and a park for the performing arts and related education programs.

Park Mission Goals

• To preserve the Tao House, courtyard and historic landscape in a representative scene of Eugene O'Neill's home during 1941.
• To provide interpretive opportunities for park visitors and other stakeholders to understand the national and international significance of Eugene O'Neill's artistic achievements.|
• To maintain park facilities and systems through safe and sustainable practices that compliments the historic resources.
