License Keys

Review status for your current License Keys in the upper right panel of the Site Administration Dashboard.

License keys are encrypted CFM modules copied into the /commonspot/keys directory as part of the installation process.

The typical single customer license is the straightforward case. Under this environment PaperThin, provides two encrypted license key files per server, and only one Users database is used for all top-level sites.

If a development server is part of the configuration, the architecture is the same.

CommonSpot also provides facilities to support a hosting environment where multiple sites are created and maintained by separate distinct customers. Viewing features specific to a hosted environment requires setting the proper licensing flags in the license keys.

Occasionally, a set of keys with an expiration date in them is provided for testing and upgrading. In the event these keys are placed on a production site, when the keys expire, login of any kind is prevented.
