You are here: Administrators Reference > Site Administration > Elements & Forms > Elements > Change State

Change State

Clicking the Deleteicon or picking Change State from the edit menu for a Custom Element in Manage Elements gives you options for activating, deactivating, or deleting the Element, as described below. You cannot apply these options to CommonSpot factory Elements. "Deleting" suppresses rendering of existing instances and disallows new instances, but does not remove Element data from the system.

You can optionally reactivate "deleted" Elements. Apply that filter for State in Manage Elements and click the delete icon for the Element you want to "undelete."

This dialog also displays for XML publications.

To create a new Publication Definition, click Add XML Publication in the Publication Definitions dialog. This will invoke the Add Publication Definition dialog.

Click Save to set state, or Cancel to exit without changing.
