Stickney, Albert

Bio:
In 1863, Stickney was assigned by Brigadier General William H. Emory in the defense of New Orleans to command forces in Brashear City. On June 20, 1863, he commanded forces in the Battle of LaFourche Crossing, in which the Union forces win a victory, but they are unable to defend against a Confederate raid on Brashear City.
