Marmaduke, John S.
- Bio:
- Twenty-fifth governor of Missouri (1885-87), Marmaduke fought with the Confederate army, was wounded at the Battle of Shiloh, commanded troops at the Battles of Marais des Cygnes and Mine Creek, and was captured during the latter battle.
