- Served as garrison in Forts and Defences of New Berne,
Washington and Roanoke Island, N. C., by Detachments. At Forts
Totten, Gaston, Chase, Spinola, Hatteras, Clarke, Foster, Parke,
Reno and Washington. Operations about New Berne against Whiting
January 18-February 10, 1864. Operations about New Berne and in
Albermarle Sound May 4-6. Skirmish, south side of Trent River,
May 5, 1864. Mustered out June 26, 1865. (See 5th Infantry.)
