19th Battalion, South Carolina Cavalry
- Overview:

19th Cavalry Battalion was formed in Janaury, 1865, by consolidating five independent
cavalry companies. It served in the Department of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, and
skirmished in various conflicts in South Carolina. Later the unit was active in the North Carolina
Campaign and surrendered with the Army of Tennessee. Lieutenant Colonel William L. Trenholm
was in command.
