Hutton's Company, Louisiana Artillery (Crescent Artillery Company A)

Overview:
Crescent Light Artillery was organized in the summer of 1863 and mustered into Confederate service at Alexandria, Louisiana. Most of the officers and men had served in the Crescent Infantry Regiment. The unit was assigned to the Trans-Mississippi Department and was active in various conflicts within the borders of Louisiana. It was stationed near Shreveport in April, 1865, and later disbanded. Captain T.H. Hutton was in command.
