3rd Battalion, Florida Cavalry (Meyer's) (15th Confederate Cavalry)
- Overview:
- 3rd Battalion Cavalry was assembled at Pensacola, Florida, in March, 1862, with two companies, later increased to five. The unit served in Florida attached to the Department of the Gulf until the late summer of 1863 when it merged into the 15th Confederate Cavalry Regiment. Major Thomas J. Myers was in command.
